Reigate & Redhill YMCA is building brighter futures for local people by providing services to help and support vulnerable and disadvantaged people.

Our most recent Annual Review for 2011-12 speaks of our work through the eyes of some of our service users throughout East Surrey.
As you'll read, our services are meeting ongoing need and we are excited to play a part to provide support and answers to people's real life situations.
o
Our vision is to help all local people, regardless of age or ability, to enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle, that challenges them to be the best they can be.

We are renowned for our activities for disabled people that means they can play a full and active role in the community.

Sports and Fitness

The YMCA Sports and Community Centre is a lively and energetic place for local people to get fit, try new things, challenge themselves and make friends. From sessions in our fitness gym, classes in our exercise studio (50 each week!), badminton and table tennis, there is something for everyone to enjoy. An on-site crèche frees parents to exercise.

Disability

Disability

Through our Exercise Referral, and Active Living projects, we support those with a serious health condition, disabled or the elderly, to take part in a physically active lifestyle and offer opportunities for volunteering. This helps improve people’s physical and emotional well-being, giving a purpose to the day and reducing social isolation.

Inclusive playschemes help disabled children play alongside non-disabled children whilst Yippee playschemes give profoundly disabled children a chance to play with their friends and Yip4Youth helps disabled young people become more independent and vbuddies supports young disabled people to access leisure activities by pairing them with a young volunteer buddy.
